Futura Group recently attended the launch of the National Skills Week at NSW Parliament House in Sydney. National Skills Week is important, and recognises and celebrates practical learners by shining a spotlight on their achievements.
The week is also designed to showcase the benefits associated with Vocational Education and Training (VET) and is designed to inform and inspire Australians of all ages to explore a range of industry and career pathways.
The night featured creative displays by students from TAFE NSW and performances from the Australian Institute of Music (AIM). Guests included The Hon John Barilaro NSW Minister for Skills, Small Business and Regional Development, founder of National Skills Week Brian Wexham and members from Australia’s successful WorldSkills team (the Skillaroos), who recently returned from their successful venture at the 43rd International WorldSkills competition in Brazil.
