R&CA is training Noma’s aspiring chefs & waiters with Futura Group resources
Over the next 10 weeks, twenty-five Australian hospitality students will receive the ultimate training opportunity over at Noma – the world’s best restaurant – which has opened temporarily at Barangaroo (Sydney’s newest waterfront dining precinct).
Restaurant & Catering Industry Association of Australia (R&CA) consulted with Futura Group to develop a holistic vocational solution for the lucky aspiring chefs and waiters who have enrolled in a Diploma of Hospitality with on-the-job training and mentoring under one of the world’s most influential chefs, René Redzepi.
The internship program will provide the ultimate training experience for workers seeking to progress their career in the industry, as R&CA CEO John Hart puts it, “The culinary skill and knowledge of René Redzepi and the Noma team is second to none”.
The Noma Australia Vocational Program will introduce Australian hospitality students to the best culinary minds this global industry has to offer. The program also exposes front-of-house students to the customer service expectations of the world’s finest restaurant.
René Redzepi, founder and head chef of Noma, says the relocation of his restaurant to Barangaroo is an exciting opportunity to showcase the diverse culture and natural wonders of Australia, as well as to celebrate the country’s unique produce through an original and exclusive Noma Australia menu. To share our new gastronomic experiences with the next generation of industry professionals is truly exciting.”
Futura Group is proud to be involved with R&CA, and are excited to see the effect of Noma’s presence on Australia’s dining landscape. We are proud to be involved with the training of Australia’s future chefs in what is surely the opportunity of a lifetime.
